Playing Time — Team Playing Time Tracker

Playing Time collects only the minimum data necessary to provide account authentication and cloud sync features. We never sell your data or use it for advertising.
Overview
Playing Time (“the App”) is a sports team management application that helps coaches and team managers track playing time during games. This privacy policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that data.
Information We Collect
The App collects different information depending on how you use it:
Guest Mode (No Account)
If you use the App as a guest without creating an account, we collect no personal information. All data is stored locally on your device and never transmitted to any server.
Signed-In Users
If you create an account using Apple Sign In, Google Sign In, or email authentication, we collect:
- Authentication credentials — Your email address and display name as provided by your sign-in provider (Apple, Google, or email). We do not store passwords; authentication is handled by Firebase Authentication.
- User-generated content — Team configurations, player rosters (names, jersey numbers, positions), game history, statistics, and app settings that you choose to sync across devices.
- Device identifiers — Firebase may collect anonymous device identifiers for authentication session management.
How We Use Your Data
We use your data exclusively to provide the App’s core functionality:
- Authentication — To verify your identity and maintain your signed-in session across devices
- Cloud Sync — To synchronize your teams, rosters, game data, and settings across all your devices
- Data Persistence — To ensure your data is backed up and recoverable if you switch devices
We do not use your data for advertising, analytics profiling, marketing, or any purpose other than providing the App’s features to you.
Third-Party Services
The App uses the following third-party services:

Firebase services are provided by Google and governed by Firebase’s Privacy Policy and Google’s Data Processing Terms. Your data is stored in Firebase’s secure cloud infrastructure.
The App does not integrate with any advertising networks, third-party analytics services, or data brokers.
Calendar Integration
The App includes an optional feature to import game schedules from iCal calendar feeds. When you use this feature:
- The App fetches calendar data from the URL you provide
- Calendar data is processed on your device and, if signed in, synced to your cloud storage
- No calendar data is shared with third parties
- You can remove imported schedule data at any time
Data Storage and Security
Guest users: All data is stored exclusively on your device using local storage. If you delete the App, this data is permanently removed.
Signed-in users: Your data is stored in Firebase Cloud Firestore, which provides encryption at rest and in transit. Authentication is handled through industry-standard OAuth 2.0 protocols via Apple and Google, or Firebase’s email authentication system. We do not have access to your sign-in passwords.
Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with any third parties for their own purposes. Data is shared only with the third-party services listed above, solely to provide the App’s functionality.
Children’s Privacy
The App is intended for use by coaches, parents, and team managers. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. If a child under 13 has provided us with personal information through account creation, please contact us and we will promptly delete that information.
Your Rights
You have the following rights regarding your data:
- Access — All your data is visible within the App at all times
- Portability — Your game and team data can be viewed within the App
- Deletion — You can delete your account and all associated cloud data at any time from the App’s Settings screen. You can also contact us to request deletion.
- Guest mode — You can use the App without an account, in which case no data is collected or transmitted
Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, all associated data in Firebase is permanently deleted within 30 days. Local data on your device is removed when you delete the App.
Changes to This Policy
If we update this privacy policy, we will post the new version at this URL and update the effective date. We will notify signed-in users of material changes through the App. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
